Cartoon Network’s Move It Movement Tour is a summertime traveling event targeting youth 6-14 and their parents, presented in partnership with the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition and in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative. Traveling from coast to coast, the tour will ultimately make its way to the gulf coast for its concluding presentation at LEGOLAND Florida on August 9th and August 10th.

The Move It Movement Tour is part of Cartoon Network’s long-established, award-winning pro-social efforts to provide support and encouragement in the ongoing battle against childhood obesity through such varied activities as daily recess, health & wellness education and active after-school involvement.

Presented in a themed, exciting and fun outdoor environment, the Move It Movement Tour features multiple activity and learning stations for kids, incorporating such core partner organizations as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), NBA/WNBA FIT & NBA Hoop Troop, NFL PLAY 60 and The PGA of America. Parents also will find a variety of educational materials and tip sheets presented by CATCH and Upwave, organizations which serve to empower kids and adults alike with resources that enable them to take more control of their own healthy lifestyle choices.

LEGOLAND Florida opens DUPLO Valley!

2014.05.21_LEGOLANDFLORIDA_DUPLO_096

It’s a very exciting time for us here at LEGOLAND Florida! We have expanded the park with a new addition, DUPLO Valley.  Now our 2-5 year old guests will have even more to do on their visit with us.

New attractions at DUPLO Valley include a train, a mini tractor ride, and a water play area. The central feature is the DUPLO Train where toddlers can board a train on their own or with their parents to explore countryside-themed scenery passing through farms, fishing holes and campgrounds. Just across the way, toddlers can jump on a tractor just their size and help the farmers plow the cornfields and hunt for missing farm animals.photo

For those looking to cool off, the new splash and play area will be refreshingly fun with intermittent water spouts and interactive water elements set among larger than life farm animals with a soft deck for safety.  The DUPLO Snack Bar will have caramel popcorn, regular popcorn, water and soda available for purchase.

The Baby Care Center, presented by Winter Haven Hospital, provides a nursing and changing area, a cell phone charging station, bottle warming and more! Located inside the Duplo Farm.

Guests can also purchase the new ‘Preschool Pass’, including weekday (Monday-Friday) admission to LEGOLAND Florida and standard parking for both one child under five and one adult for a full year at $90, plus tax. Assigned to the child, the pass allows an adult parent or guardian to attend the park with the toddler. The pass is transferrable to multiple adults in the family, allowing, for example, a mother to visit one day, and a grandparent the next, making it ideal for families to bring their little ones to LEGOLAND Florida during the week.

Below are the height restrictions for each ride in DUPLO Valley:

  • DUPLO Splash & Play: No height requirement
  • DUPLO Farm: No height requirement
  • DUPLO Train: Guests under 34” must ride with a responsible person 48” or taller, guests 34” and above may ride the DUPLO Train unaccompanied
  • DUPLO Tractor: Guests 36”-48” can ride with a responsible person 48” or taller, guests 48” and above can ride the DUPLO Tractor unaccompanied
