We recommend the Build-A-Raft River, where families can design and build a unique LEGO vessel and set afloat around the park’s 1000-foot-long lazy river. Take a break for a bite to eat at the Beach-n-Brick Grill, which serves burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and more.

LEGOLAND Knight LightsExclusive to the Florida vacation destination #BuiltForKids, this year’s event invites young lords, ladies, knights, knaves, princes and princesses to enjoy a renaissance of fun throughout the popular park, complete with hands-on LEGO builds, scavenger hunts, character meet-and-greets, high-energy DJ dance parties and a variety of challenges with cool LEGO prizes.

No extra ticket is required to participate in all the royal fun, including:

  • Meet-and-greets with exclusive LEGO characters like The Good Knight, handsome Lance Richmond of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS™ and — new — LEGO Jester.

  • A laugh-filled show in which LEGO Kingdoms’ resident jester will attempt to train the newest jester on the stage across from Castle Burger.
  • Opportunities to build unique LEGO creations and contribute to a giant LEGO mosaic in Pirates’ Cove.

All that excitement can work up anyone’s appetite, so be sure visit the park’s delicious new dining offerings:

  • Kingdom Cones, where guests will enjoy soft-serve ice cream served in tasty waffle cones with add-in “flavor bursts”

LEGOLAND® Water Park named a Top 10 attraction in USA TODAY-affiliated poll

Hooray for us! LEGOLAND® Water Park recently was named a category winner in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest. Out of more than 1,200 water parks in the U.S., ours was named one of the 10 best outdoor water parks.

Here’s what they had to say:

Guests at LEGOLAND Florida Water Park can explore 5 acres of water features and attractions. Get those creative juices flowing at Creative Cove, where kids can build and race LEGO boats along a fast-flowing river or Build-a-Raft River, where families construct their own vessels for a lazy river-style float. Thrill seekers can choose between high-octane attractions like Splash Out, Twin Chasers or the LEGO Wave Pool.

The results reflect the votes of fans and travelers who picked their favorites in The 10Best Readers’ Choice Award contest. Nominees are chosen by a panel of relevant experts that include editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com, relevant expert contributors and sources for both media and other Gannett properties.

10Best.com provides original, unbiased and experiential travel content of top attractions, things to see and do, and restaurants for top destinations in the U.S. and around the world. Averaging 5 million visitors per month, the site was acquired by USA TODAY in 2013.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort donates design and decor for kids play area at Patrick Air Force Base

Imagination takes flight in an all-new, interactive play area designed by LEGOLAND® Florida Resort for the children of Patrick Air Force Base personnel, a whimsical space created in partnership between the Polk County vacation destination and the U.S. military facility in Brevard County.

Scheduled to debut June 1, the new “Imagination Station” gives kids a fun, engaging place to play while parents visit the base’s Information, Tickets & Travel (ITT) office, part of the military’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation services for enlisted men and women and their families. LEGOLAND Model Citizens worked with the base to transform a formerly plain space into a colorful celebration of play and creativity, donating all labor and materials.

Décor includes floor-to-ceiling LEGOLAND graphics and photos, wall-mounted LEGO® baseplates and bins with thousands of loose LEGO bricks so kids can build and display whatever they imagine. Also featured is a LEGO replica of the theme park’s iconic entrance arch, designed and assembled by Master Model Builders.

Home of the 45th Space Wing, the veteran Air Force installation near Florida’s Cocoa Beach hosts more than 13,000 military, dependents, civilian employees and contractors on base. The Information, Tickets & Travel office assists service members with leisure travel arrangements and discounted tickets to popular Central Florida attractions, including LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

Military Discounts at the Place #BuiltForKids

All year long, active-duty U.S. service members receive complimentary admission to LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park and LEGOLAND Water Park, with no restrictions or block-out dates. Not available online, by phone or through ticket resellers, this offer is available only at the resort’s ticket windows to those with valid military ID.

For guests of service members, deeply discounted tickets are available at all U.S. military base ITT offices, and they include a second day’s admission free. They also can visit www.LEGOLAND.com/florida/buy-tickets/military to verify their eligibility online and receive a 25 percent discount on tickets, which include a second day’s admission free. Military personnel without access to a base ticketing office receive 10 percent off up to six one- and two-day tickets at the ticket windows.

U.S. service members can visit the website’s Military Discounts section to save 10 percent on stays at LEGOLAND Hotel and the all-new LEGOLAND Beach Retreat, subject to availability. Valid military ID is required at check-in.
