KIDZ BOP premieres LEGO® NINJAGO® World music video to celebrate new theme park land opening soon at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort

KIDZ BOP, the No. 1 music brand for kids, has joined with the place #BuiltForKids to create an exclusive music video for the high-energy LEGO® NINJAGO® theme song, “The Weekend Whip,” and it premieres TODAY!

In the video, The KIDZ BOP Kids are joined by brother-and-sister ninja Kai and Nya while demonstrating five signature ninja hand moves kids can use to defeat villains and capture a high score on LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, a groundbreaking new attraction opening Jan. 12 at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort.

Click the images below to see the full video on the official KIDZ BOP YouTube channel:

And that’s just the start of all the KIDZ BOP fun planned here!

KIDZ BOP recently was named the official music partner of LEGOLAND Florida Resort in a first-of-its-kind collaboration that will deliver the following awesomeness:

  • LEGOLAND Florida Resort will name our main performance venue “The KIDZ BOP Theater,” where The KIDZ BOP Kids will perform annually, along with other kid-friendly talent and events.
  • KIDZ BOP will write and produce an original theme song for us called “Built for Kids.”
  • A “Kids Go Free” coupon for a free child’s admission to LEGOLAND Florida Resort will be included in all physical copies of the latest KIDZ BOP album, KIDZ BOP 34, which drops Jan. 20.
  • One lucky fan will win a trip here to see The KIDZ BOP Kids perform as part of an upcoming social media sweepstakes.

The LEGOLAND partnership follows a milestone year for KIDZ BOP that included the brand’s 15th birthday, the debut of its first-ever fashion collection with children’s clothing brand Crazy 8, and its third annual “Life of the Party” tour. The KIDZ BOP Kids have been named Billboard Magazine’s “#1 Kids’ Artist” for the seventh consecutive year, and KIDZ BOP 31 was the best-selling children’s album of 2016.

Power up! Tampa Electric celebrates completion of 1.8-megawatt solar canopy at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort

This morning, LEGOLAND® Florida Resort celebrated Tampa Electric’s completion of a solar canopy over portions of our parking lot that’s now producing electricity — and shade — for guests. It’s a project we first announced on Earth Day earlier this year.

6-year-old Carson from West Palm Beach, Fla., flipped a giant switch made of LEGO® bricks to officially “power up” the new solar array.

Multiple rows of solar panels can produce enough electricity to power more than 200 homes and enough shade for more than 600 cars. It’s Tampa Electric’s second large-scale photovoltaic (PV) array to be installed in the communities it serves, and its first large-scale array in Polk County.

Solar energy collected from the panels can power the entire LEGOLAND Hotel!

Tampa Electric owns the PV array, and the electricity it produces goes to the grid, benefiting the company’s 730,000 customers, including LEGOLAND Florida Resort. The panels can generate enough electricity from the sun to power the resort’s 152-room LEGOLAND Hotel!

The new solar canopy provides shade for more than 600 guest vehicles in the LEGOLAND parking lot.

The new system joins a smaller PV installation already in the theme park. In 2014, the company installed solar panels atop Imagination Zone, a large, indoor attraction filled with hands-on science and engineering-based activities for kids. So far, Tampa Electric has installed nine community-based solar PV arrays that offer the public an opportunity to see solar up close and to learn about the technology.

Fun facts

  • Rated at 1.8 megawatts
  • Consists of 5,225 345-watt solar panels supported by 211 steel columns
  • Canopy contains more than 500,000 pounds of steel
  • Covers more than 116,000 square feet
